Come join us on October 24th at 10 am . Run or walk in our very first 5K to\u00a0Support our Troops<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0whether they are active or Veteran. They are either still fighting for our freedom to keep us safe or they are fighting their own battles that never ended\u00a0\u00a0when they came home.\u00a0 \u00a0 Proceeds after expenses will go to the Gary Sinise Foundation, who supports all those who sacrifice on our behalf: active duty, veterans, first responders, and their loved ones.<\/p>\n

The experiences of war leave an indelible impact on our defenders. When they return to civilian life, the physical, emotional, and psychological challenges they face are often difficult. As citizens, we benefit from the freedom and security they fight to protect. Supporting these heroes is a responsibility we all must share.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cFreedom and security are precious gifts that we, as Americans, should never take for granted. We must do all we can to extend our hand in times of need to those who willingly sacrifice each day to provide that freedom and security. While we can never do enough to show gratitude to our nation’s defenders, we can always do a little more.\u201d\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 – Gary Sinise<\/strong><\/p>\n

In addition, we will be honoring our Race Director’s, Jennifer Walters D’Angelos\u00a0Father, Vinny Walters, a Vietnam Veteran, who passed away in December 2020 from cancer due to Agent Orange.<\/strong><\/p>\n

All social distance protocols as required by the city will be in place.<\/strong><\/p>\n
