On\u00a0Saturday, June 23rd 2018<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0be part of a group of runners that will bolt across the Rikers Island bridge.<\/p>\n

The race will start at the foot of the\u00a0Francis R. Buono Memorial Bridge\u00a0and runners will head onto the island\u00a0to complete the challenging 5K course. The course is a point to point with the finish line being in the center of the island. There will be an award ceremony and BBQ directly after the race. All registered runners may have up to 3 spectators join them at the finish line and enjoy the ceremony and BBQ afterwards. All runners and guests must be pre-registered.<\/p>\n

The race was brought back 2 years in a row and was only open to Department of Correction and their families. Today we are pleased to announce that the race will be allowing members from other city agencies and members from running clubs across the city are invited to participate in the event.<\/p>\n

Registration will take place from 7:00am – 9:00am at the Bulova Center located at 75-20 Astoria Blvd 11370. \u00a0No registration will take place at Riker’s island.\u00a0 All runners and guest will be \u00a0provided transportation from the Bulova Center to Rikers. All Guest will be transported to the finish line and registered runner’s will be transported to the start line.<\/p>\n

The Registration fee is $27.75 that includes the processing fee<\/p>\n

There will be registrations taking place at the\u00a0Bulova Center located at 75-20 Astoria Blvd 11370 (shirts are not guaranteed for day of registrations)
\nCheck-in will be held for all runners between 7:00am-9:00am at the\u00a0Bulova Center.
\nShuttle service will be provided for all registered runners and their registered\u00a0guest between the Bulova Center and Rikers Island (Pre\/Post Race)<\/p>\n
