Since he was 15 years old, Tommy Hart has never stopped running. Having completed thousands of races and 100 marathons in almost all 50 states and around the world, there’s not a costume Tommy hasn’t worn for any race. Now the 71 year old Hart an Army veteran who’s also a volunteer and race director that has supported running for All, invites you to come on down to Clove Lakes, put on YOUR costume to run and have fun! We will be giving a top $$ prize for best costume Male/Female . “Casual Santa” will be making an appearance and a free Kids race honoring the late Vic Navarra will be held..
All monies raised will be donated to the Brighton Kiwanis Foundation and Staten Island High School Track and Field Association.
About our hosts: The word Marathon goes hand in hand with the legendary Bill Rogers, 4x NYC and Boston Marathon Champ will be here. Come down and meet a legend who just turned 70 and looks great as ever. Judge Michael Brennan is known as the “ Guardian of Local Running” overseeing running events on Staten Island for over 60 years. Bill Welsh, of course, needs no introduction to the running community, The Dean of running, the “Coach of all Coaches” and still competing at 87 years of age !
