DESCRIPTION:Register Now\n  \nThe Same Day registration tables will open at 7:30 AM.  The 5k race goes off at 9:00 AM and the walk goes off at 10:00 AM. \nOfficially timed 5K run and walk to follow.  The Michael’s Cause 5k run in now the 3rd leg of the Staten Island Triple Crown of 5k races. Awards given based on age categories.  There will be food and refreshments as well as raffles. \nMichael’s Cause raises awareness of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and directs all proceeds to the best medical and scientific research to find better treatments and a future cure for this disease.  In addition Michael’s Cause helps families with boys and men affected by Duchenne with the purchase of medical equipment and accessible vans. \nTo date Michael’s Cause has directed over 2 million dollars towards research and equipment. \n  \nRegister Now

In St. Andrew’s 316-year history\, there has never been a recorded foot race staged on these hallowed grounds until the creation of this event. On Saturday\, September 28\, 2024\, the Episcopal Church of St. Andrew will hold its 3rd annual 3.1-mile run and 1.1-mile walk. By participating\, you will be contributing to the various charitable initiatives led by our church\, and your involvement will help us continue making a positive impact in the Staten Island community and beyond.\nThe start/finish area is next to the Church itself and runs over a well-known footpath\, traversing the lush landscape of the greenbelt.\nJoin us on Saturday\, September 28th\, to connect with fellow participants\, meet new friends\, and engage in the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere of the Church of St. Andrew….and again become part of our history. \nAwards:\nFirst-place trophies for overall Male / Female and Top 3 in each of the following age groups\n(Male / Female): 12 and under\, 13-19\, 20-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59\, 60-69\, 70+\nTechnical T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 100 pre-registered runners.
