SUMMARY:2018 Riker's Island Challenge
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER NOW \nSell tickets online with Ticketleap\nOn Saturday\, June 23rd 2018 be part of a group of runners that will bolt across the Rikers Island bridge. \nThe race will start at the foot of the Francis R. Buono Memorial Bridge and runners will head onto the island to complete the challenging 5K course. The course is a point to point with the finish line being in the center of the island. There will be an award ceremony and BBQ directly after the race. All registered runners may have up to 3 spectators join them at the finish line and enjoy the ceremony and BBQ afterwards. All runners and guests must be pre-registered. \nThe race was brought back 2 years in a row and was only open to Department of Correction and their families. Today we are pleased to announce that the race will be allowing members from other city agencies and members from running clubs across the city are invited to participate in the event. \nRegistration will take place from 7:00am – 9:00am at the Bulova Center located at 75-20 Astoria Blvd 11370.  No registration will take place at Riker’s island.  All runners and guest will be  provided transportation from the Bulova Center to Rikers. All Guest will be transported to the finish line and registered runner’s will be transported to the start line. \nThe Registration fee is $27.75 that includes the processing fee \nDate: June 23\, 2018\nTime: 10:00 Sharp\nLocation: FRANCIS R.
