SUMMARY:Michael's Cause Step for a Cure 5k Run and Walk
DESCRIPTION:The same-day registration tables will open at 7:30 AM.  The 5k race goes off at 9:00 AM\, and the walk goes off at 10:00 AM. \nOfficially timed 5K run and walk to follow.  The Michael’s Cause 5k run is now the 3rd leg of the Staten Island Triple Crown of 5k races. Awards given based on age categories.  There will be food and refreshments as well as raffles. \nMichael’s Cause raises awareness of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and directs all proceeds to the best medical and scientific research to find better treatments and a future cure for this disease.  In addition\, Michael’s Cause helps families with boys and men affected by Duchenne with the purchase of medical equipment and accessible vans. \nTo date\, Michael’s Cause has directed over 2 million dollars towards research and equipment. \nRegister Now

DESCRIPTION:WELCOME TO THE CHURCH OF ST. ANDREW \nThe Church of St. Andrew in Richmondtown was founded in 1708.\nIt is one of the oldest active Episcopal churches in the United States and indeed the oldest church on Staten Island. Within St. Andrew’s 317-year history\, there has never been a recorded foot race staged on these hallowed grounds until the creation of this event. On Saturday\, September 26\, 2026\, the Episcopal Church of St. Andrew will hold its 5th annual 3.1-mile run and 1.1-mile walk. By participating\, you will be contributing to the various charitable initiatives led by our church\, and your involvement will help us continue making a positive impact in the Staten Island community. \nWe are very excited this year to announce that we are the first leg of the inaugural Staten Island FALL TRIFECTA.
