Michael’s Cause Step for a Cure 5k Run and Walk

The same-day registration tables will open at 7:30 AM.  The 5k race goes off at 9:00 AM, and the walk goes off at 10:00 AM.

Officially timed 5K run and walk to follow.  The Michael’s Cause 5k run is now the 3rd leg of the Staten Island Triple Crown of 5k races. Awards given based on age categories.  There will be food and refreshments as well as raffles.

Michael’s Cause raises awareness of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and directs all proceeds to the best medical and scientific research to find better treatments and a future cure for this disease.  In addition, Michael’s Cause helps families with boys and men affected by Duchenne with the purchase of medical equipment and accessible vans.

To date, Michael’s Cause has directed over 2 million dollars towards research and equipment.
