IS 223 Classic 5K

John Sorocco and the I.S 223 Running for Success Team are proud to announce that the third annual I.S. 223 5K Run /Family Mile Walk will be held on Sunday, May 7 at 10 am on the scenic Belt Parkway Promenade at Bay Parkway. The I.S. 223 Running Team comprises students from the sixth grade through college. The team runs year-round: on weekends and during the summer months. The I.S. 223 Team has built an outstanding reputation throughout the five boroughs. Within the last few weeks members of the team paced a Staten Island Track Association member for a few miles during his 50-mile race and during the holiday week they ran in Prospect Park alongside members of the Run for Chinatown Team. Through a generous NYRR grant and the support of the I.S. 223 staff each year, twenty-plus I.S. 223 attend a week-long sleep-away running camp in upstate New York. Join us on May 7, 2023, as part of this great team.
